DomDomSoft Anime Downloader 0.5 Beta release
In this release, we add some new features and fix some bugs. No automatic update for this release, you need to re-install DomDomSoft Anime Downloader.
Speed limiter will be added in next version.
Because it’s still in Beta state, there are a lot of bugs and it does not have all anime yet, we will try to update all anime as fast as we can. Please reports any bugs you find by commenting here.
You need .Net Framework 3.5 or 4.0 in order to use this software.

I noticed that you guys are using a database from anidb. Why not other database out there?
The reason of why I don’t like anidb is because they only got 720p in their database most of the time. So what can we do if someone like me want to get 1080p version? And hopefully in the next version, domdomsoft can try other database and if possible try to add something in the filter; something like episode tittle filters because many of the episode tittle in each anime has titled as 720p or 1080p so that in the future, we can find anime with 1080p.

well the downloader is still beta
but this will happen in later versions
and other databases will come later if all beta bugs are fixed
ps: this is just what i think that would happen
Iam agree with Muscab i also like 1080p anime. Please mention it when download.

I don’t know who are you whether you’re an idiot or having mental problem. The fact that it is a beta that causing me to giving those comments. I give those comments to improve this software once it is out of beta. Now, since it is in the beta stage, it is good for us to give some suggestions. Do you understand that? Idiot.

so why not make software for your own good that can download 1080p?

@aditxman I think you need to grow up a bit. I agree with Muscab, there are peoples that need 1080p anime. Because in domdomsoft, they only put 720p whereas there are 1080p release as well. Check the fansub group if you don’t believe.

why bother using this anyways, if u know your software, then u wouldn’t use this but Internet Download Manager Full Version (available almost everywhere just google it) + used best with premium accounts (tomtest.net) Also if u want 1080 that much why not just go look in other sites (e.g anime-sharing.com, sakurhana.com/forums, forums.kametsu.com, animetake.com and etc.) use google dont just rely on 1 site.
When i opened anime downloader and started downloading an anime with it,it was working fine.Then i closed anime downloader as i had some work to do on internet.Then when i opened anime downloader again to resume my anime download its window did not open but it was showing in the windows 7 status bar and anime was also still downloading but i was not able to access anime downloader’s window to view how much episode had download.So i again double-clicked on anime downloader’s to try to open(even though it was still on windows 7 status bar),then it gave me the message anime download is already open.When i clicked on ok,it gave message that anime downloader has encountered an error and needs to close.The error was as follows:

I even tried reinstalling it after removing from my computer two times but each tie this problem occured.As long as i do not download anime from it and only open it and close it,it works fine but when ever i download an anime from it and close it before the anime is downloaded and open it next time to resume the anime i then cannot see its window though i can see it im windows 7 status bar that it is running.Please fix this problem.

My operating system and computer CPU specifications are as follows:
MS Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit SP1
Intel Core2 CPU 6300 @ 1.86GHz,2.5GB RAM,Intel 946GZ Express Chipset Family.
aditxman, I think this what the beta is all about. The users which is us can suggest and recommend something once the software not in beta anymore. So what Muscab and the other said is right because they want to give suggestion. He didn’t said that making this software is easy and that is why he is requesting something so that domdomsoft can working for it.
aditxman, tell us what is wrong with Muscab? He is just giving recommendation. Is that wrong?
I had the same problem as blass, moreover this is the second time i had to reinstall the program since it suddenly stops working and needs to shut down displaying the same error message whenever i try to reopen it,

ah the first time they were too many, about 8, which i guess was too much for the beta version, the second time about 4, 2 movies and 2 series
Lockup bug:
Major bug with Anime Downloader.. when I try to remove completed task it locks up.. the first time it locked up it corrupted so badly that I had to reinstall it to get it to launch without crashing again.
If I wait to download completes all of them than it does not appear to crash often. But if it’s downloading it always crashes for me.. I had 2 downloading and 2 completed.
Wow, this stuff’s amazing! It’s much more efficient than Manga Downloader, in both speed, CPU time and stability. Didn’t try it under high load, though. I’m looking forward to the release.
Some suggestions:
1) Indication of whether English/Japanese and soft/hard subtitles audio are present.
2) Indication of video quality. Option to download different versions.
3) Separate subtitles download.
4) Option to list anime which can’t be downloaded (yet). The application is also a great database to look for files in other sources.

Also: the two downloaders could be connected in the way that you could easily find and download manga on which the anime is based, or anime which is based of the manga.
It seems that I can’t connect to the internet. Every time I click an anime to download an error shows “the underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a receive. (DownloadInformation)
i want to try this, but when i installed it keeps asking me to buy the license, if i click no then i will not be able to download anything.
i though there is a free but limited version for this?
